November Mayor's Craft Market perfectly timed for gifting season

21 November 2025

The upcoming Mayor’s Craft Market, kicking off on Thursday, 27 November 2025, is not to be missed! The popular Mayor’s market will run on 27 and 28 November, as well as 1 and 2 December 2025. Perfectly timed for those special end of year gifts.

The market will run from 07:00 to 15:00 on the trading days. Marketers can be found on the 2nd floor of the Cape Town Civic Centre. Residents can also look forward to some live performances, which will take place during the lunch time period on these days. These performances will showcase some of Cape Town’s local talent and will certainly add to the festive atmosphere.

‘Whether you are looking for a teacher’s gift, some Christmas spoils or perhaps just a treat for yourself, popping in at the last Mayor’s Craft Market for the year will be worth your while. Why not plan your trip to the municipality around these dates and brighten up the visit by having a walk through the market to see what our vendors have on offer. This market is a powerful platform for local entrepreneurs to generate income to support families and build small businesses. The support over the years has been greatly appreciated and I look forward to visiting each stand next week. Come out and support local business, especially ahead of the upcoming festive season, ’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

Aligned with the City’s vision of ‘A City of Hope for All,’ the Mayor’s Craft Market is a powerful platform for promoting economic opportunity and social cohesion and offers registered vendors a free opportunity to sell their goods.

Services and products sold at the market vary from spices, savouries, jewellery, knitwear, chocolates, nuts, skin care, bedding, duvets, succulent pot plants, leather goods and shoes to name a few.
